Not entirely timely, given the past number of days were eaten up by a brief escape from the metro region, but...
I've already had my say about this "grey vampire" nonsense, so all that remains is to dedicate the mixes below to the architects of this ignis fatuus "new orthodoxy."
Still, mind you... I wonder, reading such smug & protective excuses & egotism, if those paralyzed by prolepsis aren't simply exhausting themselves defending bad ideas.

what we need is a new breed of leaders..stand up organise!!!
Enter the Catch-22 that anyone who'd want to be a leader is more or less disqualified de facto their wanting to be a leader.
As David Simon said, "Whatever institutions you attach yourself to will fuck you."
Funny thing is, I can think of several examples of people becoming institutions unto themselves and somehow managing to fuck themselves in the process.
Not fucked cosmically or lump-sum, mind you. But inexorably mired in their own shortcomings, as much as fueled by their own strengths.
"But that's what makes them them, innit?"
(Awesome, awesome pics, by the way.)
hah...you're talking bout k-punk again eh ?
...he must feel so righteous in his singularly institutionalised fucked uppedness tho
its admirable in a way but i bet hes too attached to it and stressed because of it...
as for the photos...thanks, it's hard trying to make something so pleasant as my view somehow dark and brooding
i'm hoping to make beats again soon. was thinking of trying to do "burial" if he lived in the new zealand countryside:)
Actually, I wasn't aiming that at K-Punk for once. I was thinking more of folks like Mark E. Smith, Wes Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, Tom Waits... the kind of people who are so singularly themselves that the line between persona and person becomes blurred and they become trapped, for better or worse, in themselves.
